Well, our first week in Ft. Lauderdale has been BUSY! Chris can fill you in on some of the details, but we’ve both been working hard this week. I have to admit that while I do love being on the move – and believe me, we saw so many beautiful places on the way down, it is nice to be settled (at least for the time being) and not having to ask the questions every day like, “is our anchor dragging?”, “is there a place we can take Jet ashore?”, “does the engine sound funny to you?”, “bridgetender, can we get an opening?”… Now it’s time to put some dinero back in the bank so we can continue on our adventure.
We are working on a series of posts about our trip down, focusing more on some of the great places we got to see, but in the meantime, Chris put together a pretty cool video montage of some clips from the beginning of our trip until now. Notice there’s a lot of rain. It’s just like washing a car for us. We sail…it rains. True story. Hope you enjoy!
I suddenly feel quite salty! Thanks for the highlight reel!
Hi there! I’m glad to have caught your blog… we are currently following you down the coast. We’re not sure if we’ll get to Fort Lauderdale or if we’ll jump off to the Bahamas from West Palm Beach. But I look forward to following your adventures! And I love those adorable bracelets you make!

Tasha! Thank you for checking out the blog and for the compliment on the bracelets! :)
I just checked out a few of your blog posts and laughed out loud at your anchoring story. How awful!
Anchoring is stressful enough as it is sometimes (and we don’t have a windlass either), so I feel your pain, and sorry the jerk didn’t move for you.
LOVE LOVE LOVE Cumberland Island! It’s like stepping into Jurassic Park or something. So beautiful – we need to go back and do some “reverse” posting to tell about some of these lovely places.
Safe and happy travels and if you get down to Lauderdale, let us know! I’ll be following your journey in the meantime!
