Well we certainly have so so much to be thankful for, being on this adventure together, surrounded by love and support from such awesome friends and family. I could go on and on, but we really do try to appreciate each and every moment. We still wake up and smile because we can’t believe we have this opportunity to be doing this fun and crazy thing.
Our first Thanksgiving on the boat was wonderful! Our friend Ron (whom we met this summer in Rock Hall) flew in and we did some last minute shopping Wednesday evening. This morning we went on a dinghy cruise up the New River, then came back and cooked an amazing dinner which turned out fantastic, even though we did forget the stuffing. We opted for turkey breasts instead of a whole turkey because we weren’t sure how it would fit/cook in our little propane oven. We celebrated with a special bottle of sparkling wine that was given to us by our dear friends Bill and Kate when we left Rock Hall. We’ve been saving it for a special occasion and this was perfect. Needless to say, we’re stuffed and happy.
We hope you had a wonderful day filled with love and laughter with loved ones. Cheers!
Love,
Chris, Melody, Ron and Jet
i have been catching up on your adventure now that Joe and my adventure is over and we are home. Melody, please accept our sincere condolences for the loss of your Mother. I am sure she was a lovely woman that will always remain close in your heart. You are livin’ the dream and we will follow you closely. I truly am sorry we didn’t get to spend more time with you two. I feel certain our path will cross again. Take care and continue to count your blessings!
Maribeth and Joe – I thought I had responded to this, but I guess I haven’t. Thank you for your condolences – she was truly our biggest cheerleader in this crazy endeavor of ours, and I miss her, but thank her every day for instilling in my this love for adventure, and curiosity of life. I hope you both are well, and I can’t wait until our paths do cross again! xoxo
